Night time photography became a big thing in the smartphone photography arena from 2018 on-wards. the Night Sight mode in Pixel 3 launched in November 2018. Google’s Pixel line up of devices were already famous for the great still images they captured in daylight. With the introduction of Night Sight feature, Pixel devices extended their dominance into nighttime photography as well. 2019, proved to be the year of night-time photography in smartphones.
What constitutes an ideal smartphone ? It is a question that has no definite answer. For some people, the answer may be the most powerful processor and large amounts of RAM. Another person may prefer a smartphone that can shoot the the highest quality images and videos. For another person, battery life may be the most important deciding factor when purchasing a smartphone.However, when it comes to the immediate user experience provided by a smartphone, two factors trump everything else. They are display quality of a smartphone and more importantly the software.
Google Playstore in Android and Appstore in ios has no dearth of photo editing apps. Some of the most popular ones are Adobe Photoshop Express, Adobe Lightroom, Picsart and Pixlr. However, among all the photo editing apps, the one I use most often is Snapseed. There are a host of features and customization possible with this app and there is very little learning curve involved.
